numero uno

since blogging became the zeitgeist of internet fraternization, i've constantly jedi-mind tricked myself to not jump on board the bandwagon. the question in mind being; to blog, or not to blog?

blogging requires more than the average tlc than that i was ready to commit. it needs the basic nourisment of personal ideas, criticism, creativity and more tongue in cheek quotes than i can offer. it should be updated daily, if not, on alternate days which amounts to at least 4 entries a week. that's a total of 16 a month. that times 12 equals to the amount of entries a year (that i cannot mentally calculate). seeming that i can't even come up with the exact amount of entries a year, i am further incapable of producing quality content for the uncalculable entries. and then there's the question of tangibility. i grew up jotting down my thoughts on padlocked diaries adorned with stars and unicorns strewn across blue, yellow and pink pages. the 'human' element is thus immortalized along with those thoughts and, as one's thoughts evolves as one gets older, so does their handwriting. with technology, it's all virtual minus the reality. no human touch here.

and yet, here i am writing, scratch...typing my first entry. i succumbed into the hype afterall. it took a few years, though, at least i can say i tried. the temptation was inevitable. i rely on blogs for fashion, books, gossip, activism, news etc. i enjoy reading them, so it was only natural for me to start my own.

i relish in the thought that someday i will print the pages of this blog and call it my diary circa 21st century

xx

well, blogs doesnt have to be updated daily or once a week. you write when you have the feel, the passion, the ideas.

but nevertheless, i think you have such an awesome writing.
